We think that the Baird brewery in Numazu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan is the best brewery in Asia. Since 2000 they've been producing an extraordinary range of styles (ten year-round beers and around 50 seasonal and one-off beers a year) from what's still quite a small brewery.


They're fussy about their methods, using keg and bottle conditioning whenever possible, frequently adding local fruit and vegetables and only using whole cone hops.


The results speak for themselves.


The brewery moved to a stunning new location with a state-of-the-art new brewery in 2014. We expect even greater things.
