One of the first contract brewing companies to take advantage of the new brewery installed at Pomeroy's in Christchurch was Beer Baroness. Conveniently, Beer Baroness is an initiative of Pomeroy's own Bar Manager Ava Wilson.

Ava's goal is to make slightly bigger, more extravagant styles than Pomeroy's, often in collaboration with some of New Zealand's better known brewers.
