San Diego's Coronado is said the be the most affluent neighbourhood in the United States. Full of millionaires and sailors from the US navy, it's the perfect place for a brewpub. Founded in 1996, the Coronado Brewing Company added a separate 30-barrel production brewery in 2012, allowing for the growth that has resulted from the reputation they've earned.

Being a San Diego brewery their flagship beer is naturally an IPA, called Islander. (Coronado is often called an Island, although it's not actually disconnected from the mainland.) They also make the insanely hoppy Idiot IPA and one of the finest Belgian style wheat beers anywhere - Orange Avenue Wit. Not to mention some amazing seasonals...
