Melbourne's La Sirène is the best example in our part of the world of a brewery specialising in French and Belgian style "farmhouse" beers. That is, they employ traditional practices such as spontaneous fermentation, barrel aging and the judicious blending of fruit, herbs and spices to produce beers that are highly drinkable, food friendly, complex and subtle.

Those beers are also some of the best packaged we've ever seen.

We've been bringing small volumes of their beers across the Tasman since October 2015 - mostly in bottles but occasionally in kegs, so keep an eye out for it on tap at festivals such as the Pacific Beer Expo.
