Many of the beer taps in restaurants and bars in New Zealand are "tied" to suppliers who've made a payment in return for exclusive supply rights, so that no-one else's beer makes it onto those taps. Beer Without Borders deplores this practice as it deprives consumers of choice and shuts out suppliers who choose not to get pulled into this anti-competitive practice.
