Speakeasy have been operating in San Francisco since 1997. Their elegant and citrusy IPA called Big Daddy is rightly famous. And the Double IPA Double Daddy is magnificent.

 

But something amazing and unusual happened when we first brought their beer to New Zealand in July 2013 - their Prohibition amber ale proved to be just as popular as the pale hoppy beers.

 

More of their celebrated seasonal beers are starting to make it into our shipments too.

 

Like a few other breweries, Speakeasy use silk-screened 650ml bottles, that, combined with their great period graphics, make each bottle a work of art.
